Helmholtz Research School on Energy Scenarios

The research school is financed by the Helmholtz Association of German Research Centres as a part of its doctoral training programme and is carried out in cooperation of seven academic partners: three institutes at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), two institutes at the University of Stuttgart, and one institute each of the German Aerospace Center DLR and the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft. The institutes' representatives constitute the steering committee.

Professor Dr. Armin Grunwald (KIT) is the school’s spokesperson. Rüdiger Goldschmidt (University of Stuttgart) is the programme coordinator. Together with the coordinator and two representatives of the research students, the steering committee is regularly meeting to carry out the financial and structural supervision of the research school. An international academic advisory board is supporting the school in strategic questions. Additionally the research school is supported by a number of international partners in academia as well as partners in governmental agencies and industry applying energy scenarios.
